As First Baptist Church Mile 9 Celebrates Its Golden Jubilee in Grand Style
....Emphasises the Impacts of Government On Organizations, Group's Agenda Settings
An Ondo State lawmaker, Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji has calked on Christians across the world to serve God Almighty wholeheartedly, saying Jesus Christ had set the records straight while addressing the first Christians in Antioch after they were ordered by Christ to emulate him in spirit in order to be saved.
Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji spoke during the Golden jubilee anniversary and awards giving ceremony of the First Baptist Church Mile 9 on Saturday, where the occasion was celebrated in grand style.
The lawmaker, during the church meritorious anniversary and award ceremony, said that the primary reason God created man is to serve Him wholeheartedly reminds all descendants of Christ to follow his will even in the midst persecution and trial.
Speaking on the importance of the church's 50th year anniversary, former chorister member of the Evangelical Church of Winning All (ECWA), explained that the occasion is to bring forth the praise to the Almighty for numerous successes recorded by the church so far through His anoited men.
He commended the minister- in- Charge of the First Baptist Church Mile 9, Rev'd Samson Jokanola and his predecessors for being poised with instinctive hallmarks towards the development of the church.
Addressing the awardees at the programme, Appstle Edamisan Jimini of Cherubim and Seraphim Church Mile 9 said the award is in recognition of numerous contributions of some selected members of the church.
The awardees includes; PA Timothy Omoniyi, Reverend (Dr) Olabisi Dada, Mr Sunday Jacob and family of Late PA Sunday Aina.
Present at the 50th anniversary of the First Baptist Church Mile 9 were; wife of member of Ondo State House of Assembly, Mrs Omolola Omoniyi-Ifabiyi, Pastor Wole Afolabi of Beulah Baptist Church Ore, former pastors of the church, and member publics.
Meanwhile, programmes also attended by the lawmaker include: the meeting of north-central people (Kwara) of elders group living in Odigbo local government area, he as well, extended hands of love to Peoples With Disabilities (PWDs) in Ore.
Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji pledged to give necessary support to all recognised organisation and group irrespective of language and religion diversities.
While explaining the impacts of groups and organizations in government, he added that government helps organizations and groups in agenda setting.
The lawmaker, however, urged all organisations in Ondo state to support government of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in all its programmes and policies for the purpose of moving the state forward.
