As Ondo Commissioner,Ayadi of Ore,Others Emphasise Needs for Electorate to Return Aiyedatiwa as Governor
The group made its intention known at the Sabo market square on Thursday,during a campaign walk organised by leadership of traders and market leaders led by the Babaloja of Ore kingdom,High Chief Tope Ijiniga.
Speaking on why Governor Aiyedatiwa needs to be re-elected at the weekend election, the Iyaloja of Ore land, Mrs. Iyaniwura Ogunlana told women to convert their actions into massive votes comes Saturday gubernatorial election.
Chief Mrs Ogunlana who condemned the present condition of Ore international market urged Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa if elected as governor to intesify efforts so that the market could meet the expected global standard.
Also addressing thousands of traders at the mega campaign walk,the Babaloja of Ore kingdom, High Chief Tope Ijiniga saluted the mass turnout of market women, advised them to visit their various polling units and discharge their civil responsibility for candidate of the APC, Lucky Aiyedatiwa comes Saturday.
Babaloja who doubled as the Ayadi of Ore Kingdom,described governor Aiyedatiwa as agent of positive change just as the traditional chief thanked the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,Alhaji Amidu Takuro for recently filling dreaded potholes across Ore market square.
Responding,Alhaji Amidu Takuro called on all traders in Odigbo and rest other seventeen local government areas of Ondo state to punctually arrive their voting points and vote for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in the slated November 16 off-cycle election in the state.
While assuring electorate of adequate security before,during and after the governorship poll, the commissioner told them to sensitize other voters on how to avoid voids during the poll.
In attendance were special assistant to the governor on political mobilisation, Hon Najeem Adegboye, Hon. Oyekan Durojaye (Imagine),traditional chiefs,and cross session of traders and market leaders in Odigbo local government area of the state
