..Says Government to Complete Abandoned Onisere Road

...Allays Fears of Deserting Agriculturists from Government Reserves 


Member of Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji has reassured people of the state that the present administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa would do its best to protect and, as well encouraging farmers for agricultural productivity for food security.


The lawmaker also informed people of Onisere ward that the governor would complete the abandoned Onisere road if reelected in the upcoming governorship election.


Hon Ifabiyi on Friday, gave the assurance while addressing suppprters of the All Progressives Congress,APC, in Ebijaw and Onisere wards of Irepodun Local Council Development Area of Ondo State.





He noted that though late governor Rotimi Akeredolu died but the good legacies live on,adding that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has promised to subvert the menace confronting motorists plying Asejire-Mile 13 axis.


The lawmaker urged all farmers in the area to go out en masse to vote for Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the forthcoming governorship election,adding that each local government would be judged according to numbers of vote count.


During the campaign tour,the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro and the director-general, Aiyedatiwa Campaign Committee Odigbo council chapter, Olanrewaju Makinde tasked member of the ruling party not to renege in giving their unalloy supports to APC and its candidate Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa comes November 16 governorship election.




The duo added that the newly created Local Council Development Areas has brought government nearer to people at the grassroots, saying their usual commitment towards the development of the party is highly commendable.


The campaign DG, Olanrewaju Makinde who allged that some delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from Osun State are moving round the communities for financial inducement,warned voters across the state against selling the brighter future of Ondo state to an indisposed party.


He also assured residents of Ebijaw that the state government would find lasting solution to deplorable conditions of the road in due course through rural grading.


In the same vein,the senior special assistant to Governor on produce, Michael Bolodeoku, and former Odigbo local government caretaker chairman,Rafat Ahmed allayed the fear of deserting farmers from government reserves contrary to information making the round by the opposition parties.


Spokesperson in Ebijaw, Moruf Olalekan while lamenting on absence of social amenities in the area,urged Governor Aiyedatiwa to consider the plight of the people if reelected in the upcoming gubernatorial election in the state, however, called on state government to make stomach infrastructure a top priority for members of the party across the state.


Also at Onisere, some residents who spoke at the rally, however, expressed dissatisfaction over govwrnment's neglect,calling on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to urgently intesify efforts in completing the abandoned Onisere road ahead of rainy season in order to ease vehicular movement along Asejire-Mile13 axis.



Earlier, APC chairman in Odigbo local government,Alhaj Fatai Olawale told the people at the remote area that all of their problems are well labeled, and that the government is not that myopic to address issues of general concerned,the road.


Meanwhile, members of the main opposition party, PDP during the APC rally also defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress in Onisere.

 
Present at the Governorship rally of the All Progressives Congress were deputy speaker of the 9th assembĺy in Ondo state,Rt Hon Iroju Ogundeji, former national assembly aid, Mrs Erelu Modupe Martins, special adviser to the governor on union matters comrade Bola Taiwo, former governorship aspirant,Hon Tunji Ogunmoyero, the immediate past chairman of Odigbo local government Mrs Margaret Akinsuroju.


Others were former deputy speaker, Rt Hon Samuel Aderoboye,Hon Charles Meroyi, Prince Olu Falolu, the vice chairman of Irepodun Local Council Development Area,Hon Ayobami Ojo, and across session of notable leaders of the progressives party in the area.
