State Why Continuity Is Required for Good Governance In Ondo
The exercise is said to preludes the visit of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress,APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
Speaking at the ward tour kickoff, Director General, Aiyedatiwa Campaign Council Odigbo local government chapter, Olanrewaju Makinde said government efforts in restoring electricity back to Araromi-Obu and other communities of the southern part of the state is commendable, adding that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa,if reelected would address other challenges confronting residents in the area.
He stressed that the essence of the tour is to educate voters, as well remind people why continuity is pivotal in harnessing good governance for socioeconomic transformation of a territory like Ondo state.
Also, the special adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on union matters, comrade Bola Taiwo and a representative of the Ajobu of Araromi-Obu, Oba Aderemi Adelola, High Chief Lisa Akintemi charged people to put in their best in ensuring that the APC and its candidate Governor Aiyedatiwa emerge winner in November 16 off-cycle election in the state.
Addressing crowd of supporters, former deputy speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Iroju Ogundeji who applauded women in APC for their commitments to party success in previous elections, urged them to convince men in their domains to vote massively for governor Aiyedatiwa in the coming month election.
Ogundeji,succinctly while disclosing that no amount of threat can resist APC's victory in the slated poll,assured voters of maximum security before,during and after the exercise.
Earlier, Odigbo local government chairman of APC, Alhaj Fatai Olawale and, a lawmaker representing Odigbo constituency 1 at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji called on those behind the fence to find way into the moving ark of the ruling party, saying APC remains the sailing boat to the saved haven
The two elder statesmen, therefore urged voters to come out en masse to exercise their franchise without duress, noting that appropriate authority has set things straight to provide adequate security for people who will participate in November 16 governorship exercise in the state.
The campaign tour of the Committee to the three wards;Ayesan, Araromi-Obu and Ago Alaye in Odigbo constituency II was attended by all party stalwarts, traditional rulers and other member publics in the area.
According to APC's event table, the exercise continues Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Oniparaga and Koseru wards respectively.
