In a landmark ceremony, the Akogbe of Ajue Kingdom, HRM Oba Bamidele Akinwe has formally handed over a large portion of land to Irepodun LCDA Chairman, Hon. Gbenro Akintolayo
The Chairman, Hon. Gbenro Akintolayo, the Akogbe of Ajue Kingdom, HRM Oba Bamidele Akinwe, community leaders, and functionaries inspected the site allocated to the LCDA by the Paramount Ruler of Ajue Kingdom. The LCDA Transition Committee has been using St. John Anglican Primary School, Ajue as its temporary office since the announcement of the Transition Communities by the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in July 2024.
Hon. Gbenro described the monarch as a "visionary leader and champion of development" whose development initiatives are his priority. "We are deeply grateful for the allocation of land and will ensure work on the land to realize the permanent site that we all dream of," Hon. Akintolayo
The Chairman also used the medium to appeal to Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to come to their aid to spur the actualization of the LCDA secretariat.
The Paramount ruler of Ajue Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Bamidele Akinwe emphasized that "the LCDA is ours, and our responsibility as Paramount Ruler is to support and enhance development projects that will enhance the smooth running of its affairs." He appreciated the State Governor, Hon. Aiyedatiwa, for the establishment of the LCDA and its committees, which has further taken the government to the grassroots.
