2024: AKINFOLARIN, IFABIYI,TAKURO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA AHEAD NOVEMBER 16 GUBER POLL IN ONDO



APC In Odigbo Thrives Vigorously, As Stakeholders,Members Hold Family Meeting, Brainstorm On Winning Strategies

Former Member of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin has said APC remain only party to rule Nigeria for more than thirty years,asking Nigerians to continue praying for president Bola Tinubu as his administration is working round the clock to fulfill his renewed hope agenda for economic prosperity of thenation.


Rt Hon Akinfolarin spoke in a speech delivered at APC summit meeting held at Ore township hall Government Field Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo local government area as part of efforts geared to hit the ground running for general success of governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the APC ahead of November 16 governorship election in Ondo state.


The immediate past federal lawmaker noted that the summit is aimed at uniting  members of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Odigbo since the party conduct its governorship primary in April this year which produced governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as flag bearer for the slated November gubernatorial election in the state 



The former governorship aspirant explained that though locally produced food commodities in circulation had remained  insufficient due to the heterogeneous nature of the country, saying there are strong indications that Nigeria would soon wax stronger in its economic, security, and as well food security.


"Today marks a special day for me to iron things of very importance since the conduct of APC governorship primary" 

"The party's primary has come and gone and I believe we need to embrace unity and togetherness until the target goal is achieved" 

"Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa mean well for all citizens of Ondo state and we must let the good work continue" 

"Aiyedatiwa is my friend and my fellow party man and as such let's give him the necessary supports and let all grievances be the things of the past"

"It may be your own turn tomorrow, so let those who are in power today breathe"

"Stop criticizing your government again fuel subsidy has already been removed before President Tinubu came in don't be surprised"


Addressing journalists at the meeting, a member of Ondo State House of Assembly Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji assured Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress of massive votes in the forthcoming governorship election in the state 


Ifabiyi gave the assurance while briefing newsmen on the essentiality of the party's summit jointly held by  stakeholders  with other members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in the area. 


The chairman house committee on Governor's Office and Protocol at the state hallow chamber who maintained that all hands must be on deck to ensure Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the APC record a landslide victory in the guber election said it is time for all members of APC  in the area and other parts of the state to unite and  come together for the common goal of the party.



"APC is our party and governor Aiyedatiwa is our governor beyond 2024"

"Governor Aiyedatiwa will win massively in the coming election but mind Let's go for door to door campaign"

"As for me, PDP is dead and there's no opposition parties as you can see them defecting to the ruling party every second"

As one of the leaders of great party I can assure everyone here I say let us all deliver on the mandate"

"Let's continue be be in unity and come November 16 we shall have cause to celebrate the victory" .Hon Ifabiyi quoted 



Similarly, the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in Ondo state, Alhaj Amidu Takuro commended governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa over the recent appointments where the governor appointed Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants in an anticipation to give sense of belonging to selected members of the party across the eighteen local government areas of the state.



Earlier, giving reports from the three local council development areas LCDAs of Odigbo local government, Odigbo,Irepodun, and Ifesowapo local transistion committee Chairmen,Hon Taiwo Adegoroye, Gbenro  Akintolayo and Hon Adeolu Akinseyoju while commending governor Aiyedatiwa on various achievements and assistance recorded so far, the trio urged Ondo State government to urgently intervene over the deplorable conditions of Ajue- Ore road, Mile 13 Onisere, Ore neigbouring communities and those of Araromi-Obu areas to avert road accidents.




"As part of my report from Irepodun LCDA most of our roads are deplorable which hinder farmers to transport their farm produce to urban centres and need government attention"

"The accident that occurred yesterday night at Ajue claimed 16 lives and 5 other sustained several degrees of injuries"


The report came on the heel few hours after 16 people lost their lives in a night accident which involved a Toyota Haice bus and a Petrol tanker at Ajue town in Odigbo local government area due to the failed portions on the ever busy Ondo-Ore axis 


Across session of APC leaders in Odigbo local government area including a member of Ondo State House of Assembly Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji however passed vote of confidence on governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa after a motion moved by former federal lawmaker Rt Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin to support and to deliver on the mandate of the party.




The meeting was attended by special adviser on union matters Hon Bola Taiwo,his emergency counterpart, Wellington Oriade, a full time board member, Ondo State Football Agency Coach Abimbola Oladimeji also known as Akobi Aiyedatiwa the state chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, comrade Odudu Ademola APClocal governmentvice chairman, Samuel Akinbi.


Among others were local government executive of the party, former Odigbo local government chairman Deacn. Margaret Akinsuroju, former caretaker chairman of the local government Mrs Ahmed Rafa, market women, representatives of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, RTEAN and host others.
