Following a public notice making the round on the scheduled nationwide protest by youths across the country over the current hardship facing Nigerians, the chairman of Irepodun Local Council Development Area transition committee, Gbenro Akintolayo, has pressed youths in the country to sheathe their sword on the planned demonstration.
The Irepodun LCDA boss made the called in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen after a prolonged security meeting with some stakeholders and security agencies in Ondo southern senatorial district of the state on Tuesday.
Akintolayo in a statement noted that the present administration of president Bola Tinubu understand all frustrations undergoing by citizens including residents of the council, hence there is need to embrace peace as only key to peaceful coexistence in the country.
He noted that instead of Nigerians to go by a protest to express their displeasure before the government, it is imperative for individual toreconsider the adversaries,adding dialogue remain the best wheel as a sovereign nation to whop their grievances and push government into action.
While appreciating Nigerians for their perseverance dedication and commitment toward an enhanced unity, Hon Gbenro Akintolayo, therefore called for synergy and concerted efforts between citizens and the government in achieving a sustainable development goals,SDGs for socioeconomic recovery, in order to make Nigeria a place of pride among its contemporary nations of the world.

Hon Gbenro Akintolayo, however, commended the Ondo state governor, Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa as he is poised to provide a crime-free environment for all residents of the state irrespective of their cultural diversity,religion and tribal differences.
