..... Asks Motorists to Speed Less, Ensure Perfect Working Condition of Vehicles
As Ifabiyi Tasks Residents On Hygienic Practices
A member of Ondo State House of Assembly representing Odigbo state constituency1, Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji has urged all residents to always stay safe against flooding and other natural disasters as already forecasted for by the Nigeria Meteorological experts, NiMet,for this year.
Ifabiyi also warned motorists to ensure that all their vehicular accessories includiing tyres and brakes were in perfect conditions before embarking on their daily routines in order to curtail lost of life and property of commuters.
The lawmaker spoke in a statement signed and made public by his special adviser on information and media strategy, Sam Ajide, to congratulate the people for the new month of July.
According to the statement, Ifabiyi Olatunji who commended NiMet for alerting Nigerians on imminent of thunderstorms and torrential rainfall in some states of the federation including Ondo State, asked residents of Odigbo local government area of the state not to chide the findings of NiMet but to adequately adhere to all instructions and precautionary measures as prescribed by scientists.
While highlighting hazards connected with ecological problems as major challenges confronting many residential areas in the state, the chairman house committee on public accounts warned all residents of Odigbo local council area including the Ore metropolis to desist from indiscriminate littering of refuse on waterways to avoid water surge
He noted that apart from ecological problem,residents must ensure that their surroundings are always kept tidy to prevent the spread of cholera outbreak currently ravaging in some states of the country.
Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji, in a meantime, while praying God to keep everyone alive to revolve the twelve calendar months of the year, wished all subjects of his constituency a productive month of July.
