....Calls On Yoruba Elders, Religion Pivots to Wage Into Action Ahead August Nationwide Outcry 


Ahead of the looming nationwide outcry in Nigeria, chairman house committee on public accounts at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji, has urged youths in the country to jettison the planned protest but to ensure a save haven of their fellow ones in order to avert any form of unaviodable lost particularly the lost of life and desruction of property.



The lawmaker spoke in a statement he personally penned and made public on Tuesday by his spokesperson ahead of the proposed August 1 nationwide protest tagged #EndbadgovernanceinNigeria# across the country.



Ifabiyi Olatunji, while advising Nigerians on the need to shelve the nationwide protest in the interest of all,tasked youths in the country to sue for peace by exploring the opportunity for dialogue instead for public brouhaha which may be hijacked by hoodlums to perpetrate evil.



Condemning gruesome killing of innocent Nigerians and arsons caused during the 2021 Endsars protest which has cost the country several setbacks in its social and economy status, cautioned those who may want to serve as intruders to turn the southwest zone Nigeria to a battle field and their initiators to change their heinous plan without further delay.



He said only the southwestern states were hugely suffered from the last Endsars protest where both private and public properties were wantonly destroyed and life casualties were largely recorded,urging youths in Yorubaland not to be used by anyone to cause unrest in the zone.



While calling on youths in Odigbo local government area of the state to remain calm in order not to desert the relative peace being enjoy in the area,the former Commissioner for commerce and industry in Ondo state, however, appealed to Nigerians to exercise more patience for president Bola Tinubu’s administration as a road is not made in a day.



"Fellow Nigerians youths, it is absolutely clear as crystal that the proposed protest is gathering momentum".

"I want to beseech you all particularly the youths in the southwest states not to indulge in any protest but to sue for peace". 

"Remember, protest is not the only best tool to employ to lay your grievances, we've dialogue".

"The wounds caused during the last Endsars protest in Nigeria is not yet healed".

"It is my great advice for all youths in Yorubaland not to be initiated to distrupt the peace known for in the zone". Ifabiyi advicated



Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji as a matter of urgency, therefore called on traditional rulers, religion leaders and the leadership of Pan Yoruba socio-cultural group also known as Afenifere to urgently wage into action by preaching peace ahead of the slated nationwide outcry rather than folding arms.



"I want to call on our Obas, religion leaders, and members of Afenifere group not to fold their arms but to preach peace among their subjects". The lawmaker said
