ONDO GOVERNORSHIP FRONTLINE ASPIRANT,AKINTERINWA SUSPENDS CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES OVER DEATH OF CO-ASPIRANT AKINTELURE

A frontline governorship aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, Wale Akinterinwa has  suspended his political activities in honour of his co-aspirant, Dr Paul Akintelure who passed on at the early hours of Tuesday ahead of the slated April 25 party primary in Ondo state 

The suspension of his political activities which was said to kick off today March 26, 2024 with a praise and worship at his hometown in Ile-Oluji is contained in a statement issued by the spokesperson to Hon Wale Akinterinwa,Segun Ajiboye in Akure the state capital was to honour his late  friend and comrade 

 "I am saddened by the news of the passing of a friend and comrade. "Following this sad incident, I have decided to suspend all political activities of our campaign organisation.

 "I pray God to console his family, friends and the APC in Ondo state and to give the fortitude to bear this great loss."

It was reliably gathered that Akintelure a medical doctor from Igbotako, In Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo state died in the early hours of Tuesday after a brief illness.

Credible family sources informed journalists that Akintelure gave up the ghost in Lagos.

Recall that the late Dr Paul Akintelure had last week in a statement raised alarm that unnamed persons were threatening his life over the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

He was the running mate to the late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu during the 2012 governorship election under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)
