Gives Political Analysis of Ondo Southern Senatorial District Since 1999
Assures Residents of Landslide Developments If Elect Akinterinwa as Governor
A political analyst in Ondo state, comrade Olumide Fajebe has highlighted the standing chances of former commissioner for finance in the state Wale Akinterinwa in the forthcoming governorship election.
Comrade Fajebe also called on APC aborigines in Ondo south senatorial district to adopt wale Akinterinwa as their sole candidate for the purpose of justice, fairness, and equity, urging two other federal constituencies in the southern part of the state to allow Ileoluji/ Okeigbo and Odigbo federal constituency to breath in line with political zoning arrangement in the state.
The political guru gave the analysis in an interactive session with our correspondent in Akure the state capital while feeding back questions on current political developments in Ondo State.
Speaking on reasons why Wale Akinterinwa stand the chance to occupy the governorship seat at Alagbaka, he explained that only Ileoluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo federal constituency has never produce neither governor nor deputy governor among the three federal constituencies in the southern party of the state since 1999.
Comrade Fajebe noted that Barrister Afolabi Iyantan from Okitipupa local government area was deputy to former governor Adebayo Adefarati, governor Olusegun Agagu (PDP) was from Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency, former deputy governor, Dr Alfred Agboola Ajayi and Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa who succeeded late governor Rotimi Akeredolu after his demise in December 27 last year are also products of Ilaje/Ese-Odo federal constituency respectively.
The political analyst further explained that Akinterinwa who had served in banking industry and as special adviser to president Bola Tinubu as Lagos state governor consequently three-term commissioner for finance during Olusegun Mimiko/Akeredolu led administrations has all what it takes to be governor of Ondo State if given governorship ticket in April 20 gubernatorial primary.
In remarks to his claims, comrade Olumide Fajebe described Wale Akinterinwa as astute and sagacious statesman that can drive the economic of Ondo State to a more favourable lane, noting that the state internally generated revenue experienced greater shift under the leading governorship aspirant from its monthly #500 million to #3 billion during Akeredolu's led government.
"Giving the analysis in the state of politics in Ondo south, you will discover that only Ileoluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo federal constituency is marginalized"
"Late governor Agagu was from Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency and Barrister Iyantan as deputy governor to late Adebayo Adefarati,BarristerAfolabi Iyantan. While former deputy governor Agboola Ajayi and Aiyedatiwa who was once deputy now governor are from Ilaje/Ese-Odo federal constituency".
"Now,if truly there's fairness, equity and justice in our political calculations Ileoluji/Odigbo should be given the chance since we have 3 federal constituencies in Ondo south"
"And more so, the central has his tenure completed under Olusegun Mimiko, Akeredolu's administration hit 7 year before his demise"
"And if this ticket is wrongly given to the incumbent that mean he has only four year to rule as governor, hence the southern senatorial would be shortchanged".
"Mere looking at Wale Akinterinwa's track records you will discover that he stand a chance to be considered for APC ticket". He analysed
Comrade Olumide Fajebe, however said he is confidence that Ondo State would enjoy relative economic recovery under wale Akinterinwa administration if given party ticket in April 20, and in the slated November 16 governorship election in the state.
"And I want to tell everyone beyond doubt that Ondo State would wax stronger under his watch if voted for in the nearest elections". Comrade Fajebe assured
