The lawmaker also admonish Christians not to go back to their old ways of life after the forty days fasting but to preach gospel about importance of the death and resurrection of Christ to unbelievers as he was made to pay the prize on the cross.
Hon Ifabiyi gave the admonition in a press statement as contained in his Easter message issued by the office of the lawmaker and directed to constituents and other followers of christ in commemoration of death and resurrection of Jesus.
While remembering Christians on reasons behind the yearly occasion, he said Easter celebration should not be merely celebrated but a season to be compassionate about fellow ones.
He said Jesus died and resurrected at the third day to save mankind from the second death as exemplified in the scripture, asking Christians all over the world to continue toeing the path of love, righteousness, and holy life of Jesus Christ ahead of the rapture.
Ifabiyi in his congratulatory statement, urged believers to learn to forgive sins of others as this significant reflected on how Jesus laid down his souls for the restitution of sins of mankind before his appearance at the Galilee as earlier promised
He therefore urged celebrants to observe the occasion responsibly and avoid being spendthrift due to current hard time and in lieu of present economic reality.
